Artios Christian College is recognized by the Colorado Department of Higher Education as a private accredited institution of higher learning with a religious authorization. This authorization is defined as a bona fide religious postsecondary educational institution, offering only programs which are religious in nature, which is exempt from property taxation under the laws of this state and whose degrees or diplomas have no state recognition.

This recognition is not considered by the United States Department of Education as being regionally or nationally accredited. Therefore, we are not an eligible institution according to the IRS, Publication 970, for a tuition educational deduction (tax credit).

Artios students pay around 80% less than students pay at schools whose tuition reflects the financial burden of regional accreditation. Read more about our edge here. Artios credits may be accepted as prior learning credits at regionally accredited schools.
