Kristin has taught English, Spanish and English Language Learner (ELL) classes in the public school system for ten years, was the district ELL coordinator, and taught Spanish and ESL in a vocational-technical adult education program. She has also taught summer school and course remediation, as well as ACT Test Prep for high school students. Kristin served as a liaison for Hispanic families and the school district for ELL services as well as for high school enrollment and IEP meetings and provided academic support to students moving through high school as a Zebra Advisement Program Advisor. In addition to her extensive teaching and student services experience, Kristin has committed to foreign and domestic ministry. She served as a translator for the University of Oklahoma’s Christian Medical and Dental Association chapter on medical mission trips to Ecuador and Peru, and went on PMT trips to Monterrey, Saltillo, and Cuernavaca Mexico, and PMT II to Argentina. She has previously served as a National Youth Officer and editor of Youth Reach, a local youth sponsor, worship team member, and president of the local women’s group. She currently teaches Sabbath school for young adults, serves on the VBS planning committee, in various capacities in the women’s group. Kristin works alongside her husband, pastor Gerson Gonzalez in his ministerial duties.
